Want to do something rewarding and worthwhile?

The NDC Older Persons Programme are looking for volunteers. There are several new opportunities in the pipeline, and the volunteers will go through an induction and CRB check with Age Concern (to ensure they are eligible to work with elderly people).

The team are looking for people with a cheerful, warm, friendly attitude, a liking for elderly people, and lots of enthusiasm.

Over 50's coffee morning

Currently looking for someone to run a coffee morning.         
You will be working one morning a week at a local centre in Canning Town. Your role will be to encourage people over 50 to join in board games, art and crafts etc, or just to get them socialising with each other.

Activity afternoons in local venues

Looking for volunteers to run a simple activity afternoon for people over 50.

Knowledge of art and craft an advantage, but not absolutely necessary. Must have a liking for elderly people, and be approachable and friendly.
