Community Health Improvement Team (COMHITS)
The key aim of the Community Health Improvement Team (COMHITS) is to promote a healthier lifestyle by encouraging people to learn about their health and actively participate in a range of initiative programmes which target various elements of the community.

These programmes includes: advice sessions and health promotions, networking in schools, mens health, working with the over 50s clubs and to attend fun days.

Newham Primary Care Trust

Newham Primary Care Trust has been awarded Practice Plus status as part of the Improving Working Lives (IWL) plan, launched by the Government in 2000.

The accreditation demonstrates that Newham Primary Care Trust have achieved the required Improving Working Lives national standards in all the key areas including, equality and diversity, healthy working, communication and staff involvement; education, learning and development, all of which improve the quality of working life for staff.
