Asian Deaf Women's Association (ADWA)

The Asian Deaf Women's Association (ADWA) is a charity organisation providing support to Asian D/deaf women and mothers with Deaf/Hard of Hearing child/children who are living in LONDON.

ADWA aims to:

  • Promote the relief of Asian Deaf women of Asian Descent living in London and to assist those women allowing them to realise their full potential to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Assist Asian Deaf women to obtain their rights and privileges as citizens.
  • Give Asian Deaf women a chance to establish their identity within society.

The ADWA provides:

  • Information
  • Basic skills and knowledge in English and Maths
  • Training Courses such as life skills, health and personal skills
  • Deaf Awareness
  • Social Club, activities, culture e.g. sports, drama, trips and more
  • Cultural Events
  • Drop in Sessions
  • Training opportunities
  • Youth Services
  • Peer Support  
  • Workshops
