Tapeball
The new cricket craze Tapeball has come to the NDC area and is sure to be a hit with people of all ages.

Tapeball cricket takes place at the following three venues:

Phoenix Cage, Milner Road 4.30pm-6.00pm
Lister School 5.00pm-7.00pm
Lister Gardens Park 7.00pm-8.00pm

These sessions will continue until December 2005 ending with a tournament at Lister School. If successful Tapeball cricket will continue in 2006 and hope to expand in Newham.

What is Tapeball cricket?

Tapeball cricket uses a tennis ball covered in tape to make it behave like a cricket ball but without the risk of damage to people and property. It's a fast moving game like five-a-side football or basketball with a game completed in twenty minutes.

One of the main reasons why football is so popular is that it is easy to set up and play a game almost anywhere. By simplifying cricket and making it safe to play in restricted areas it can now be easier to set up and play a game almost anywhere. Tapeball is a new choice for young people who love cricket but live no where near a cricket club.

Come along and play at one of the venues or contact NDC Community Sports Coach Paul Belcher on 020 8430 2492.
