A variety of positions have arisen in the Catering Department for ISS Mediclean based in Newham University Hospital. We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join the Catering Department.

Successful applicants will be excellent communicators, flexible and preferably have a minimum of 1-2 years experience within the Catering setting or a fast paced, customer focused environment. You will be highly motivated, an excellent team player with good interpersonal skills. Commercial awareness, along with “High Street” experience would be an advantage.

Duties include:

• Preparing patient Meal Trolley’s for breakfast, lunch and supper
• Operating a cash till
• Cleaning prescribed areas
• Undertaking basic food preparation and serve up patient meals
• Empty waste bins, compact and dispose of waste
• Transport food goods to and from the catering department/store and wards as required
• Serve patient meals at ward level

All applicants must have:

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• 1 year’s experience in a customer focussed service
• Basic food handler certification
