Cranberry area

There are approximately 250 households on the estate. These are made up of a combination of private and housing association houses and flats.  

Some things NDC has done in this area:

• Provided funding towards the transformation of a former car park into a community space, the Cranberry Centre
• A Homezone scheme was introduced changing the road priority from car to pedestrian. The scheme also provided improvements to pavements and general streetscape
• The estate was the first area to benefit from the mobile food store which was set up by NDC funded Community Food Enterprise. The mobile store was introduced to provide affordable fresh produce in an area that has no local shops
