What's will happen to my home

This section is a quick update on the Housing Project refurbishment programme and also to reassure residents living in Council accommodation on the estate that the housing team haven‚t forgotten them.

The refurbishment programme across the estate is expected to run until 2010.

Works still to be done:

• 37–48 Fothergill Close (1 bed flats) Latter part of 2006. Works will include new kitchens/bathrooms /re-wire and new heating.
• 39–49 Stratford Road May 2006 (provisional)
  Works will include new kitchens/bathrooms /re-wire and new heating.
• 11–33 Pelly Road May 2006 (provisional)
  Following consultation with residents, it is proposed to
  construct winter gardens in the flats.
• 4–26 East Road work currently done
• 2–36 Park Road work currently done
• 1–5 Lettsom Walk May 2006 (provisional)
  Works will include new kitchens/bathrooms /re-wire and new heating.
• 1–56 Tanner Point, works to be carried out after completion of low rise properties
• 1–56 Nicholls Point, works to be carried out after completion of low rise properties.
• 1–56 Smiths Point, but may not include
  external cladding and treatment to balconies
• 1–59 Maud Gardens No start date available.     Decent Homes Standard to include new kitchens/bathrooms/heating & re-wire

Many residents will be pleased to know that all the new roads are now nearly complete and that some of the disruption is nearly over. The two prime remaining areas of environmental
work are Chadd Green Road & play area and the extension of Brooks Road outside Smiths Point.
